IBPS Clerk Exam 2018

Every year Institute of Banking Personnel Selection holds the IBPS clerical cadre in multiple Public Sector banks. IBPS started Common Written Examination (CWE) in the year 2011 to recruit officers and clerks in Public Sector Banks. It accepts online application through its official website for registration of the examination.

It is held at various locations throughout India. The mode of examination is online. In 2018, IBPS CWE-VIII Clerk Pre-Exam is going to hold Pre Examination on 8th, 09th, 15th and 16th December 2018. IBPS Clerk Main Examination will be held on 20th January 2019.

IBPS Clerk Exam Notification

IBPS Clerk Notification 2018 (CWE-VIII) is expected to be released in August at ibps.in to recruit eligible candidates for the post of IBPS Clerk-VIII. IBPS Clerk 2018 Recruitment is expected to be out for 8000 tentative vacancies. IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam Dates are announced and Prelims exam is set to be held on 8th, 9th, 15th, and 16th December 2018 and Clerk-VIII Main exam on 20th January 2019. Yearly, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts clerk examination on the behalf of public sector banks.

IBPS Clerk Vacancy Details

As per IBPS 2018 Official Calendar Notification will come in the month of September 2018 for IBPS CWE Clerk Examination. The Online Registration for IBPS Clerk will tentatively be from 12 September to 03 OctobEr 2018. IBPS has introduced 7883 vacancies for IBPS Clerk 2017, last year Exam.

The candidates eligible and interested can register themselves online for the said post on the official IBPS website.www.ibps.in.

Every year more than 25 lakh aspirants appear for the IBPS Bank Clerk examination. The Online Registration for IBPS Clerk 2018 will start from September 2018. In last year 2017 there were 7883 vacancies for the post of Clerical. This year we are expecting around 8000 -9000 Clerical vacancies in all public sector banks.

IBPS Clerk Exam Eligibility Criteria

Here we have mentioned all Eligibility criteria,whereby Candidates can easily identify that they can fill IBPS Clerk Application Form 2018 or not.

Education Qualification: -Candidate musthave completed graduation degree in any of the streams such as BA, B.Com, BSc, B.Tech, etc., from a University recognized by the Government of India. Candidate who possesses same qualification from the university recognized by the Central Government is also eligible to apply for this exam.

Candidates should have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree:-Certificate which supports that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam. The percentage of marks obtained in Graduation should be mentioned at time of registration for the IBPS Bank PO examination.

Computer Literacy:-Knowledge of computer operation is a must as IBPS PO exam is conducted online.

Language Proficiency:-Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in official language of the State/UT. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language.

IBPS Clerk Age Limit

All the candidates, who are eligible and want to apply for IBPS PO Exam 2018, their age should not be less than 20 years and not more than 28 years. Candidates born between 2nd Aug 1988 to 1st Aug 1998 (inclusive both dates) may apply for the recruitment.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern

IBPS has decided to extend the previous year strategy to hire the candidates by Two-Phase Written examination, followed by an interview. IBPS CLERK 2018 Prelims Exam Pattern: -Prelims exam is the 1st stage for candidates, which conducts online. The IBPS Clerk Prelims exam consists three sections - English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. The total 100 questions will be asked in the exam and each question will carry 1 mark. The 1/4 mark will be deducted as negative marking for each wrong answer. The examination authority will allow 1 hour to solve 100 questions.

IBPS CLERK 2018 Mains Exam Pattern:-Mains exam is the 2nd stage for candidates, which will be conducted online. The IBPS Clerk Mains exam consists five sections - English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge. Total 200 questions will be asked in the exam and each question will carry 1 mark. The 1/4 mark will be deducted as negative marking for each wrong answer. The examination authority will allow 140 Minutes to solve 200 questions.

IBPS Clerk Syllabus

Mode of Selection

The IBPS PO 2018 Selection Procedure is based on the Three Phases examination. First of all, candidates will have to clear in IBPS PO prelims examination. Only those candidates will be shortlisted for Mains examination who will clear Prelims exam with minimum qualifying scores. After Prelims, candidates will have to clear IBPS PO Mains examination otherwise, they will not be selected for Final Interview Round.

Application Form

Candidates will have to pay intimation charges or application fee of IBPS Clerk Exam via Online mode only. SC/ST/PWD candidates will have to pay at Rs. 100 and other candidates will have to pay Rs. 600/-.

IBPS Clerk Admit Card

Candidates must download the IBPS Clerk 2018 admit card from the official website of the bank as the hard copy of the IBPS Clerk Admit Card will not be sent to the candidate via post. To login on the official website, the candidates will require the following:

The admit card will be made available 10 to 15 days before the IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam. The admit card or call letter for IBPS Clerk 2018 will be issued in 3 phases:

IBPS Clerk Result

IBPS will release the results after completion of each Phase of Examination.The Final Merit state wise and category wise List shall be prepared in descending order of the marks secured by the candidates in the Online Main Examination and interview. Candidates who fall within the number of vacancies in the merit list shall be considered for appointment subject to Medical Fitness.

IBPS Clerk Cut off

The IBPS Clerk Cut-Off marks are the minimum marks which are required for qualifying the Probationary Officer examination. IBPS Clerk 2018 Cut off marks will be released after the result declaration, candidates will be able to check from here after the release.
